Lexy Ortega (born March 8, 1960 in Camagüey ) is a Cuban chess player . He has been playing for Italy since 2001.

In 1978 he became the Cuban champion in the U18 age group. At the Cuban individual championships in 1988 and 1989 he was third.

He won the Italian individual championship in Sarre in 2009 .

At the 2008 Chess Olympiad in Dresden , the captain of the Italian women's team was in twelfth place.

In 1980 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM) and in 2001 the title of Grand Master (GM).

He has two children.
