Le Pin is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Villages du Paladru with 1,251 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The inhabitants are called Pinois .
With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Paladru and Le Pin were merged to form Commune nouvelle Villages-du-Lac-de-Paladru. The municipality of Le Pin was part of the arrondissement of La Tour-du-Pin and the canton of Le Grand-Lemps (until 2015: canton of Virieu ).

Le Pin is located about 62 kilometers east-southeast of Lyon and about 34 kilometers north-northwest of Grenoble . The place is located on the southwest bank of the Lac de Paladru . Le Pin is surrounded by the neighboring towns of Valencogne in the north, Paladru in the east, Bilieu in the east, Charavines in the south, Oyeu in the southwest and Virieu in the west.
