Leidingshof is a village in Franconian Switzerland and a district of the Upper Franconian market Heiligenstadt in Upper Franconia . The village has 40 inhabitants and is located at an altitude of 450  m above sea level. NN . It is located in the southeastern corner of the Bamberg district.

history

The first documentary mention comes from the year 1405 when Bishop Albrecht von Bamberg awarded Ulrich Motschiedler with special grace all the property in Obernfeilbrunn, which his ancestor and father already owned.

Originally the settlement was called Oberfeilbrunn , that is, above Veilbronn . The name "Leitenhof" appeared for the first time in 1456.

In Biedermann's topographical description from 1752, Leidingshof is described as follows:

“Laitenhof is a shepherd's farm and a small village of 8 households at the height under the Ebermannstadt office, an hour of that between Streitberg, Veilbrunn, Siegritz and Gößmannsberg, of which the shepherd's farm and 6 other subjects go to the bishopric in the caste office in Ebermannstadt, but one man is the baron v. Seckendorff belongs to the Draindorfer property and knight place Gebürg.
The rulership of the village, the toes and the jurisdiction have the office, whereas the high and low hunting is exercised by Baron v. Seckendorff from Schloss Unterleinleiter on the Marckung. All subjects were in former times where v. Streitberg to Veilbrunn Castle and the stately Draindorf house. The inhabitants profess the Protestant religion and parish also to the Protestant church in Heiligenstadt. "
