Leonie Kreil (born November 20, 1997 in Bad Kissingen ) is a German soccer player on the position of striker .

Career

Kreil played in youth at Bayern Munich , where she made nine appearances in the 2012/13 season and eight appearances in the B-Juniorinnen Bundesliga in the 2013/14 season , in which she scored a total of two goals. With the club she won the German B-Junior Championships in 2013 and 2014. For the 2014 season she moved to the 2nd women's Bundesliga for ETSV Würzburg , for which she was active until 2016 and during this time she played 34 games in the 2nd Bundesliga (1 goal) and three games in the DFB Cup . In the summer of 2016, Kreil left the Würzburger Verein due to a two-year study visit that she completed at the University of West Florida in Pensacola . Until 2018 she was active for their college team, the West Florida Argonauts .

At the beginning of the 2018/19 season, Kreil signed a contract with the relegated Bundesliga FF USV Jena , with which she subsequently managed to return to the women's Bundesliga . In the promotion season she played 25 games in which she could score two goals. Kreil played her first game in the women's Bundesliga on matchday 1 of the 2019/20 season in a 6-1 home defeat against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . On June 20, 2020 Kreil moved to SC Sand after the relegation of FF USV Jena .
