Dörthe Hoppius (born May 22, 1996 in Recklinghausen ) is a German soccer player .
Career
societies
Hoppius started playing football at BVH Dorsten and switched to the youth department of VfL Bochum via SSV Rhade in 2011 . There she first played for a year for the B-Juniors before moving up to the women's team for the 2012/13 season, with whom she won the championship in the Regionalliga West in 2013 and the associated promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga . With 16 hits in 21 season missions, the attacker made a significant contribution to this success. In 2013/14 she was used for the Bochum women in all 22 second division games and scored nine goals. In the summer of 2014, after graduating from high school, Hoppius began studying at San José State University and during this time played for the college team there, San José State Spartans, for which she scored 23 goals in 80 games. After completing her studies, Hoppius returned to Germany in summer 2018 and signed a contract with Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg . She made her Bundesliga debut on September 15, 2018 (1st matchday) in the 4-0 home defeat against SGS Essen over the full playing time, and her first Bundesliga goal was on September 30, 2018 (3rd matchday) in the home game against Werder Bremen with the hit to the 3-0 final score.
National team
In 2012, Hoppius played six games for the U-16 national team , four of them as part of the Nordic Cup , where she also scored her only three international goals. After two appearances for the U-17 national team in September 2012, she was part of the German squad for the U-20 World Cup in Papua New Guinea in 2016 , where she played twice as a substitute in the group game against Mexico and the quarter-final against France, which was lost 0-1 for use.
