Noppawan Lertcheewakarn ( Thai นพ วรรณ เลิศ ชีว กานต์ , RTGS Nopphawan Loetchiwakan , pronunciation: [nóppʰawan lɤ̂ːtt͡ɕʰiːwakaːn] ; born November 18, 1991 in Chiang Mai ) is a Thai tennis player .

Career

Noppawan Lertcheewakarn, who, according to the ITF profile, prefers hard courts for her game , started playing tennis at the age of four.

As a junior she won a total of four titles in Grand Slam tournaments , in 2008 the first in doubles at the US Open . The other three followed in 2009, including the individual title at Wimbledon , where she won the final against Kristina Mladenovic , and the double titles at the French Open and the Wimbledon Championships.

She played her first tournament on the WTA Tour in 2007 at the Pattaya Women's Open , the first Grand Slam tournament for adults in 2010 with a wildcard at Wimbledon ; she lost her first round game against Andrea Hlaváčková with 3: 6 and 2: 6.

In August 2011 Noppawan was one of the top 100 in the double world rankings .

Since 2009, she has played 23 games for the Thai Fed Cup team , of which she was able to win 15.

Lertcheewakarn played her last international tournament so far in August 2017. She is therefore no longer in the world rankings.
