The lighthouse Unterfeuer Bubendey-Ufer together with the lighthouse Oberfeuer Bubendey-Ufer forms the leading light line Bubendey-Ufer for ships traveling up the Elbe in the Hamburg district of Waltershof .

The tower is striped in red and white and has a square, wooden, white, red bordered top mark . It is located around 1,010 meters from the Oberfeuer directly at the Bubendey-Ufer ferry terminal.

New building

A new construction of the lower light was planned for the years 2013/14, as the previous upper and lower light had to be demolished due to the expansion of a terminal. The new lower light will then have a height of 70 meters, but will not be built until the Federal Administrative Court in Leipzig has decided on the adjustment of the Elbe fairway. To avoid the risk of confusing the towers with container cranes, they will be striped in black and white.
