Lewis Travis (born October 16, 1997 in Whiston , Lancashire ) is an English football player who is under contract with the second division club Blackburn Rovers .

Career

Lewis Travis, born in Whiston , Lancashire , joined Liverpool FC's offspring at the age of seven , having previously played for Bleak Hill Eccleston . There he played ten years in different age groups, most recently in the position of right full-back . In December 2014, he moved to the youth of the Blackburn Rovers , where he played for the U23 team in the Premier League 2 for the first time in May 2015. In the 2016/17 season he also played in midfield for the first time and was used as a regular in 19 league games.

On August 29, 2017, he made his debut for the first team of the Rovers in a 1-0 Cup victory over the Stoke City U23 team . In the third-highest English division , he played five games this season 2017/18 and rose with the club as runner-up in the second-rate EFL Championship . In the second half of the next 2018/19 season he was promoted to a regular in the defensive midfield . On April 27, 2019 (45th matchday), he scored his first goal in professional football in the 2-1 away defeat against Norwich City . This season he was used in 26 league games in which he managed a goal and an assist.
