The Lezíria do Tejo is a Portuguese subregion , part of the region Alentejo and the district Santarém , as well as by the circle Azambuja , the district Lisbon . The sub-region used to belong to the district of Lisbon . In the north the sub-region borders on the Pinhal Litoral and the Médio Tejo , in the east on the Alto Alentejo , in the south on the Alentejo Central and the Peninsula of Setúbal ( Península de Setúbal ) and in the west on the greater Lisbon area ( Grande Lisboa ) and to the sub-regionOeste . The sub-region consists of 11 districts:
