Liane Jessen (* before 1960 in Kaiserslautern ) is a former German television editor . With her editorial team she produced television films, some cinema co-productions and films in the debut and up-and-coming segment as well as in episodes of the crime scene of the Hessischer Rundfunk .

Life

Jessen studied German , geography , philosophy and art history at the University of Freiburg , including one semester in Montpellier . After passing the state examination and master's degree, she worked as a tutor and gave lectures on black romanticism , among other things . She founded the Freiburg Municipal Cinema with friends .

After an internship at the Stuttgarter Zeitung , she produced her first films for Südwestfunk Baden-Baden. At the same time she began to write her doctoral thesis. After an internship at ZDF , the first option is to work there as a permanent freelancer ; a short time later followed permanent position as a television film editor. Jessen was the first ZDF editor to become a mother in 1992. She returned to work five months after the birth of her son. Four years later she became the mother of a daughter.

Since 1999 she has been the director of TV plays and feature films at Hessischer Rundfunk .

In the area of ​​the Hessian crime scenes , she newly occupied the crime scene Frankfurt with Andrea Sawatzki and Jörg Schüttauf as Dellwo and singer . She later created the characters Steier and Mey , played by Joachim Król and Nina Kunzendorf . She won Ulrich Tukur for the role of commissioner Felix Murot from the LKA Wiesbaden, which she was able to use throughout Hesse. In 2014, Margarita Broich and Wolfram Koch were selected to succeed Krol and Kunzendorf .

As the editor of a television station that produces its own films, she confessed to “thinking cinematically and trying something out” as well as “exceeding” and “daring”. Some of the films she oversees have received multiple awards. Honors

At the Munich Film Festival 2014, the Hessischer Rundfunk won the 25,000 Euro Bernd Burgemeister TV Prize as the producer of the crime scene born in pain , represented by the responsible employees Liane Jessen and Jörg Himstedt .
