Ligota Tułowicka (German: Ellguth-Tillowitz , 1936-1945 Steinaugrund ) is a village in Upper Silesia in the Tułowice municipality in the Opolski powiat in the Opole Voivodeship , Poland .

Geographical location
The village of Ligota Tułowicka is located two kilometers south of the municipal seat , the city of Tułowice , and about 25 kilometers southwest of the voivodeship capital Opole . lies in the Nizina Śląska ( Silesian Plain ) within the Równina Niemodlińska ( Falkenberg Plain ).
Tułowice is located on the Steinau (Polish Ścinawa Niemodlińska ). To the south and west there are extensive forest areas that belong to the Tułowice Forest. To the west of the village runs the Droga wojewódzka 405 voivodeship road between Niemodlin and Korfantów .
To the east of the village center is the Rutki-Ligota open-cast basalt mine .

history
The village was first mentioned in 1376 as Elgotha . In 1451 the village is mentioned again.
After the First Silesian War in 1742, Ellguth-Tillowitz and most of Silesia fell to Prussia .
After the reorganization of the province of Silesia , the rural community Ellguth-Tillowitz belonged to the district of Falkenberg OS in the administrative district of Opole from 1816 . In 1845 the village consisted of 47 houses, a mill and a farm. In the same year, 425 people lived in Ellguth-Tillowitz, 10 of them Protestants. In 1855 513, in 1861 again 537 people lived in the village. In 1865 the village had nine farmer, 21 gardener and twelve cottager jobs. In 1874 the Tillowitz district was founded, which consisted of the rural communities of Baumgarten, Ellguth-Tillowitz, Michelsdorf, Schedliske, Schiedlow, Seifersdorf, Tillowitz and Weiderwitz and the manor districts of Baumgarten, Ellguth-Tillowitz, Schedliske, Schiedlow, Seifersdorf, Tillowitz and Weiderwitz. In 1885 Ellguth-Tillowitz had 455 inhabitants.
In 1933 there were 536 residents in Ellguth-Tillowitz. On June 10, 1936, the date was Ellguth-Tillowitz place indicated in Steinau basic renamed . In 1939 551 people lived in the village. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Falkenberg OS .
The Red Army entered the village on March 18, 1945. Then the previously German place came to Poland and was renamed Ligota Tułowicka and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. On September 28, 1945, all residents were sent to the Łambinowice labor and internment camp . Part of the population was later able to return to Ligota Tułowicka, but most of the residents were expelled in June 1946 . In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship and in 1999 the place came to the Powiat Opolski . In 2006 there were 152 people in Ligota Tułowicka.
