Linus Fagemo (born March 5, 1977 in Trollhättan ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player who has spent eleven seasons in the Svenska Hockeyligan and one in the German Ice Hockey League . After the end of his playing career, he worked as an ice hockey coach and since 2014 head coach of the Herning Blue Fox in the Danish Metal Ligaen .
Career
Linus Fagemo was in the Elitserien for the first time in 1995 at the age of 18 for Frölunda HC . The following season he played in the Swedish second division for IF Troja-Ljungby , but only a year later he was back on the shirt of the Gothenburg club . With his next club Timrå IK Fagemo rose from the Elitserien at the end of the 2001/02 season . The striker did not want to be satisfied with the second division, so he signed on with Luleå HF . In his first season in 2002/03 he scored 16 goals and twelve assists there.
After another two years, a total of ten in the Elitserien, he went abroad for the 2005/06 season , where the Iserlohn Roosters from the German Ice Hockey League signed him . During the season he struggled with injuries and only played 41 games. After this interlude in Germany, he moved back to Sweden for the following season, to the Malmö Redhawks . After a year he left the Redhawks in the direction of Herning Blue Fox from the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen . There he became champions once in two years and moved to the Arizona Sundogs from the Central Hockey League for the 2009/10 season . From 2010 until his retirement in 2012 he played for Borås HC in HockeyAllsvenskan , the second Swedish division.
International
Fagemo completed a total of 90 games for Sweden as a junior national player and was used at the 1997 U20 World Youth Championship . In 2003 he made his debut in the Swedish men's national team and played two games.
