List of Members of the Tyrolean Parliament (Austrofascism)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list of members of the Tyrolean state parliament (Austrofascism) lists all members of the Tyrolean state parliament in the period of Austrofascism from 1934. The Landtag retained its legislative competence until March 17, 1938, when the legislative competence of the Landtag ended with the Second Leader Decree on the introduction of German Reich laws in Austria. This law determined the application of the law of January 30, 1934 on the rebuilding of the Reich to the former territory of Austria, whereby the previous state parliaments had to be dissolved. De facto, however, the state parliaments had already lost their powers when the Wehrmacht marched into Austria on March 12, 1938.

In the corporate state, the composition of the Landtag was based on occupational groups (anciently called "Estates"), whereby the occupational group of agriculture and forestry, with nine out of 25 members, made up more than a third of the Landtag members. In addition, there were three representatives each from trade and industry and mining and two representatives each from the public service, the school and education sector and the trade and transport sector. The liberal professions, the church and religious communities, art and science as well as the monetary, credit and insurance sectors each provided one representative.
