The list of mayors of Tauberbischofsheim includes the mayors of the district town of Tauberbischofsheim in the Main-Tauber district in the north-east of Baden-Württemberg . From 1971 to 1975 the previously independent communities Dienstadt , Dittigheim , Dittwar , Distelhausen , Hochhausen and Impfingen were incorporated into Tauberbischofsheim.

Gray - replace this image male.svg Anton Baumann 1952-1958 Anton Baumann was born on December 7th, 1890 in Tauberbischofsheim. From 1910 to 1918 he did his military and military service as a Grand Ducal Baden soldier during World War I. After training in law firms, he worked as an accountant at Sparkasse Tauberbischofsheim after the war . From 1923 Baumann worked as a city calculator for the city of Tauberbischofsheim. In 1937 he joined the NSDAP at the urging of the occupying powers, however, after the Second World War he was only classified as a follower and was soon allowed to resume his work as a city computer, which he carried out until 1952. In the mayoral election in 1952, Baumann was elected mayor of his hometown with 58.46 percent of the vote. His term of office as Tauberbischofsheimer Mayor from 1952 to 1958 was shaped by the developments of the economic miracle . From 1953 Baumann was also a member of the district council and district council of the Tauberbischofsheim district . In 1958 Baumann retired. On October 27, 1958, Baumann was granted honorary citizenship of the city of Tauberbischofsheim at his last municipal council meeting.

Grosch had been on friendly terms with Vitry-le-François since 1925. 20 years after the end of the Second World War, Grosch initiated a student exchange between the Matthias Grünewald grammar school in Tauberbischofsheim and the Lyseum in Vitry during his tenure as Tauberbischofsheim mayor . As a result, there were further meetings, until finally, on May 29, 1966, the mayors Jean Juif and Walter Grosch agreed on a town partnership in a festive ceremony on the Tauberbischofsheimer Schlossplatz. On October 24, 1972, Grosch was granted honorary citizenship of the city of Tauberbischofsheim.

Gray - replace this image male.svg Erich Hollerbach CDU 1981-1995 Hollerbach was born in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. After studying civil engineering / urban development at the University of Karlsruhe, he gained experience in the field of urban planning. In 1974 Hollerbach came to Bad Mergentheim, where he was responsible for the technical departments. On November 9, 1980 he was elected mayor of Tauberbischofsheim. He took up this position in January 1981. Hollerbach's tenure was characterized by extensive construction activities. In the year of his resignation as mayor, on August 25, 1995, he was granted honorary citizenship of the city of Tauberbischofsheim.

He was confirmed in office in 2003 (93.47%) and 2011 (74.64%) with a large majority. In the mayoral election on June 30, 2019, Vockel achieved the second-best result in the first ballot with 28.4 percent of the vote. Vockel then announced on July 3 that after a 24-year term in office, he would withdraw his application in the second ballot. As mayor, Vockel is independent from the district council of the Main-Tauber district, where he is a member of the CDU parliamentary group.
Gray - replace this image female.svg Anette Schmidt Since 2019 She was elected as mayor of the community of Großrinderfeld on April 26, 2015, making her the first woman mayor in the history of the 18 communities in the Main-Tauber district . In the Tauberbischofsheim mayoral election on June 30, 2019, Schmidt achieved the best result in the first ballot with 39.3 percent of the vote. In the second ballot on July 14, 2019, Schmidt was elected mayor of Tauberbischofsheim with 46.4 percent of the vote. She took up this position on September 1, 2019. The election winner ran without party support, but is a CDU member.
