The city of Neunburg vorm Wald has granted honorary citizenship to 18 people since 1836 .

Between 1933 and 1945 Paul von Hindenburg , Adolf Hitler , Franz von Epp , Hans Schemm and Adolf Wagner were also declared honorary citizens of the city. It is assumed that their honorary citizenship expired with death and could therefore no longer be revoked.

    Giehrl was honored for his tireless and self-sacrificing commitment to medical care for the poorer population.

    Hauser worked at the Neunburg district court from 1829 to 1851 and was considered a strict but fair judge.
  3. Georg Angerer

    Angerer was a judge at the Neunburg regional court from 1851 to 1863. He was granted honorary citizenship because of his vigorous use for the thriving of the Schranne and the Viktualien market .
