List of cultural assets in Sarnen

The list of cultural assets in Sarnen contains all objects in the municipality of Sarnen in the canton of Obwalden that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and the Ordinance of 29 June 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in categories A and B are completely included in the list, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018).

On May 25, 2018, the Obwalden cantonal council passed an amendment dated March 27, 2018 to the cantonal protection plan for cultural objects of regional and national importance in the municipality of Sarnen (Sarnen-Dorf local area, Ramersberg local area and Schwendi-Wilen local area). From the previous cantonal protection plans from 1992 to 2005, Villa Landenberg was released as a protected property and 18 new cultural objects were included in the protection plans. Three cultural objects of regional importance that were already under protection were newly classified as cultural objects of national importance and one cultural object of national importance was newly classified as a cultural object of regional importance in accordance with the requirements of the federal government.

Mentioned for the first time in 1036, from 1739–1742 completely new construction by Franz Singer to create an imposing hall church in the baroque style. 1881 completion of the west tower. Artistically outstanding interior.
