With a diameter of more than 4 m, the Davidstein (the nature conservation authority calls it "Goliathstein") is one of the largest boulders in the region and, due to its rarity, is worthy of protection. It is popularly associated with the Goliath stone to the west (the ND "David stone"). The responsible nature conservation authority describes the granite gneiss boulder Davidstein as a natural monument "Goliathstein". An information board provides detailed information about the geological and folk backgrounds of this boulder. |
