All Regensburg canons up to secularization should be compiled in the following list . Clerics in the diocese of Regensburg often held several church offices. Canons are also known as the bishops of Eichstätt (see list of bishops of Regensburg ). Many come from noble families, some of them from Franconia (see also list of Franconian knight families ).
