This is a list of cities in Mauritius .
By far the largest agglomeration on Mauritius is Port Louis with a population of 615,505 (as of January 1, 2005). This means that around half of the country's population is concentrated in the capital region.
The following table shows the cities with a population of over 8,000, the results of the census of July 21, 1983, July 2, 2000, July 3, 2011, a calculation for July 1, 2016 and the district to which the city belongs heard, listed. The population figures refer to the actual city without the suburbs.
