Maria Wackers nee lived here . After the Allies bombed Kevelaer in 1944, she and her children left Kevelaer and wanted to find protection in the Gau Magdeburg . The train was bombed on the way, she suffered a nervous breakdown and was taken to the Uchtspringe hospital where she died under unexplained circumstances. This hospital was part of " Aktion T4 ".
