The early Baroque hall church was built around 1670 and consecrated in 1678, whereby the Romanesque - Gothic defense tower from the previous building from the middle of the 13th century was retained and masonry parts of the previous building were integrated.

The staircase leads to the church, on the northern side of which the spacious cemetery extends. There is the crypt of the Bartenstein family from 1853 as well as a barrel vault of the former George Chapel, which served as a charnel house.
