The cubic, multi-tiered functional building with tower-like structures, flat roofs and rubble stone facades instrumented by red-colored artificial stone elements and boss accents was erected in the 1920s. The workshop building is part of the service port of the Carnuntum service center (address: Am Stein 6, 2405 Bad Deutsch-Altenburg) on ​​the Via donau (formerly the electricity construction office).

The so-called House of Theodora was laid out in the 13th century on the southeast corner of the city fortifications. It then belonged to changing owners and was probably desolate as early as the 16th century. The longitudinal wall of a representative hall building and a three-story tower remains have been preserved. In the 1980s, a new building was built on parts of the area.

Note: Until 2016, Theodora's house was protected under Section 2a under the address Am Stadtgraben 2 and ID 11177.

The former monastery was added to the northwest corner of the city fortifications in the 13th century. After the Minorites were driven out, it was converted into an imperial provisions and armory in the 16th century. Another renovation took place in the 17th century. In the time after Emperor Joseph II , the building served as the headquarters of the tobacco factory; it has been used in different ways since it was sold in the 1980s. The regular four-wing structure, arranged around a courtyard, dates from the 17th century in terms of structure and was modified a few later.

The castle ruin Röthelstein stands about two kilometers northeast of the city on a protruding limestone cliff above the Danube and was already in ruins in 1511. Remains of the wall of the Romanesque core castle, which was built around 1170/80, as well as parts of the ring wall in the south and north have been preserved.

The so-called Haydn Fountain with an octagonal basin was built in the early 17th century in the late Renaissance style . On a pedestal stands a vase with four masked spoons; an obelisk forms the top. The fountain was only moved to its current location in 1984.

The late Gothic high light column of the former cemetery dates from the 2nd or 3rd quarter of the 15th century. On the slim, hexagonal shaft with an elevator opening sits a pinnacle- studded tracery tabernacle in keel- arched, crab-studded but weathered arcades with nested clover-leaf arches . There is a renewed finial on the pointed stone helmet .

From the 17th century, a Franciscan monastery stood in the place of the former magazine of the tobacco directors, which was taken over by the tobacco factory after it was closed in 1787. From 1821 to 1840 a monumental three-storey industrial building was built in classicist-functionalist forms, the eastern front of which partially included the city wall.

The former citizens 'hospital now serves as a state pensioners' home. The Ulrich chapel forms the eastern end of the completely redesigned former hospital complex. The church, which is essentially Gothic, was converted into a baroque hall church with a flat ceiling in the 17th century. There is an inscription above the entrance to the Ulrich's Chapel according to the decree of Ferdinand III .

The Götzenhof, also known as the water barracks, was probably a ministerial court of the Röthelstein-Haslauer. It was mentioned in a document in 1411 as a ducal fiefdom, but fell desolate in 1590. In 1702 a kk cloth factory was built, from 1829 to 1845 barracks of the kk mineurcorps. There is currently an urban residential complex on the site, the two-storey complex extends around a spacious courtyard bounded by the city wall to the north and east, the entrance has a groin vault and a basket arch portal.

The triangular cross pillar shrine was built in 1390/1400, perhaps based on a design by Master Michael (Michael Chnab) . The three-sided, open with two-lane slots pillar has rich tracery and Fialaufsätze , the shaft tracery and Wappenschildchen, the plow - and Rebmesser show as well as a sickle. Around 1903 the helmet was renewed and the pillar was restored in a neo-Gothic style.

The Heimenburg (also called Hainburg) was built in 1050 as an imperial castle at the instigation of Emperor Heinrich III. built and expanded, damaged and repaired several times over the course of history. After the Middle Ages it lost its importance as a fortification and was left to decay from the 18th century. In the 1930s, the armed forces began to secure the remains. More extensive renovation measures took place in 1954 and from 1976. The ruin is open to the public and serves, among other things, as a destination for excursions and as a backdrop for theater performances.

The three-story administration building was built in 1905. The foyer is decorated with plaster decor, and in the stairwell there is an ornamental wrought iron railing and tiles. The elongated courtyard wing has a two-story arched arcade from the beginning of the 17th century, which rests on pillars on the ground floor and on Tuscan columns on the upper floor .

The building complex around a wide inner courtyard extends in three wings back to the 14th and 15th centuries. The late medieval-early modern facade to Ungarstrasse is inconsistent in height and includes a three-storey corner tower on the side. The structure of the former synagogue is located in the courtyard of the house at Wienerstraße 9. The rectangular building is made of quarry stone, dates from the 14th century and was probably a prayer room. The gable walls tower over the current roof, the building was originally higher. In the interior, false ceilings were drawn in, the cellar has partly a shuttered stone vault, at the exit to the cellar there is a beveled arch. On the north side a tower-like building over a square floor plan with a polygonal brick helmet, which originally carried a finial . Center of a Jewish community from 1320 to 1420.

The cemetery is located outside the walled old town on the eastern slope of the Schlossberg. The south-facing chapel consists of heterogeneous components of different heights and has a baroque gable facade. Inside there is an early classical altar from the end of the 18th century.

The city fortifications of Hainburg, built in the 13th century, have a 2.5 kilometer long city wall, three preserved gates (Ungartor, Fischertor , Wienertor) and 15 towers. It is one of the oldest and best preserved city fortifications in Europe.
