A previous church was consecrated as early as 1116. The current church was built in 1645. In 1838, after a fire, it had to be almost completely rebuilt. The unadorned hall with a Gothic choir borders a slender tower from 1725 to the west. In 1893, the baroque church furnishings were replaced by a neo-renaissance one. In 1908 the tower was raised. After the Second Vatican Council the high altar, side altars, pulpit and communion grille were removed. 1983 to 1985 the baroque pictures were hung up again. In 2009 the works of art were extensively renovated and rearranged.
