On September 8, 1123, the Romanesque style church in Niederkreising was consecrated. Around 1360 it was converted into an early Gothic church. In 1470 the nave was extended and in 1523 a polygonal early Gothic choir with buttresses was rebuilt. The tower on the west facade dates from 1671. Giovanni Battista Carlone and Carlo Antonio Carlone began to redesign the church in 1694. In 1696, St. Florian Monastery donated the high altar, which is still in the church, to the church. During the restoration of the church in 1985, the altarpiece "Mary and the 14 Holy Helpers" from the church in Marwach, which was demolished in 1786, was acquired by a local farmer and hung in the church. In 1993 the picture “Annunciation” is hung. Copies of pictures of the winged altarpiece from 1515 are hung on the south wall.
