The list of German ambassadors in Saudi Arabia contains the ambassadors of the Federal Republic of Germany in Saudi Arabia . The embassy is based in Riyadh .

Diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia already existed at the time of the German Reich . In January 1939 Fritz Grobba became the first German envoy to Jeddah .
