The Nicaraguan ambassador in Vienna is also regularly accredited in Bucharest , Warsaw , Zagreb , Bratislava , Prague , Budapest , with the International Atomic Energy Agency and the United Nations Organization for Industrial Development .

history

In 1880 the Nicaraguan government suggested the conclusion of a friendship and trade treaty with Austria-Hungary. In 1879, Emperor Franz Joseph I was the mediator in the conflict between the United Kingdom and Nicaragua over the Miskito coast . In the course of the preparation of the arbitration award, a Nicaraguan envoy stayed in Vienna for a short time, who on this occasion proposed the conclusion of a commercial agreement.

Until July 19, 1979, the ambassador in Rome was also regularly accredited in Vienna. From 1980 the embassy was located in Buchfeldgasse 18/1/3, from 1988 on Schwedenplatz 2/7/64.
