Loni Beth Harwood (born September 19, 1989 on Staten Island , New York City , New York ) is a professional American poker player . Nicknamed the Luscious Lon and two-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

Personal

Harwood is from Staten Island . She graduated from the University at Albany in New York with a degree in finance . She then moved to Florida to live with her father. Today Harwood lives on Staten Island and Miami again . Harwood is in a relationship with poker player Phillip Hui , who is also a two-time bracelet winner.

Poker career

Career

Harwood learned poker from her father, Joel, by watching him play. Since 2008 she has been taking part in renowned live tournaments .

In February 2012, won Harwood at a Circuit tournament of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in West Palm Beach , what do you more than 30,000 US dollars earned prize money and a ring. Just three months later, she won another ring in New Orleans . In the summer of 2013 she was successful for the first time at the main tournament series of the WSOP taking place in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and took 560th place in the Millionaire Maker for around 3,000 US dollars. Then landed Harwood still with four other events in the money before a tournament on July 7, 2013 version No Limit Hold'em won. This earned her more than $ 600,000 in bonuses and her first bracelet . In the ranking of the WSOP Player of the Year , she finished fourth as the best woman. At the 2014 WSOP , Harwood was again at the start and finished four times in the money. At the end of July 2015 she won the National Championship of the World Series of Poker in Cherokee , securing her second bracelet and more than 300,000 US dollars in prize money. She is one of only eight women to have won more than one bracelet at the WSOP. At the beginning of April 2017, Harwood took third place at the high roller event of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in Hollywood for just under $ 350,000 in prize money. At the end of February 2018, she won the high roller of the WSOP circuit in Las Vegas with a bonus of over 70,000 US dollars, thus securing her fifth circuit ring.

Overall, Harwood has earned more than 3 million US dollars with poker in live tournaments, making him one of the most successful women in terms of tournament prize money .
