Louise Erhartt
Louise Erhartt (born February 22, 1844 in Vienna , † May 17, 1916 in Wiesbaden ) was a German theater actress of Austrian origin.
Life
Erhartt, who had lost her mother Antonie Erhartt early in 1853, received acting lessons from the castle actress Anna Zeiner during her childhood . With their Hilder she was able to successfully debut at the court theater in Kassel in the role of Käthchens as early as 1859 . In the following year she was engaged at the Dessau Court Theater. From there she went to the court theater in Hanover for a short time and got an engagement as a “tragic lover” in Wiesbaden in 1864/65 .
In 1864 Louise Erhartt was brought to Berlin , where she made a successful debut in the role of Julia . Even with her other roles, she turned out to be a worthy successor to Ida Pellet .
In 1868 Erhartt married Count Karl August von der Goltz (1841–1902) in Berlin and had a son with him, Karl August von der Goltz (1869–1954). On May 31, 1878 she gave her farewell performance in the role of “Maria Stuart” and went to Erfurt with her family that same year; later they settled in Szczecin .
reception
Supported by a happy external talent, all of her creations breathed the noblest femininity; Intensity and passion were at her command in all degrees. In the first few years, Gretchen, Klärchen and Desdemona were her most popular roles. Among those she later portrayed with mastery, we highlight: Pompadour, Orsina, Lady Milford, Adelheid von Waldorf, Franziska von Hohenheim, Leonore von Este, Iphigenia. Also in representation roles - salon ladies - she performed excellently through fine tours.
“Figures that stand ahead like a locked tower, at which we look up with awe, but which we cannot understand in their deepest depths, are not in the appropriate field of representation for Ms. Erhartt. This intimacy, this enticing softness in tone and expression often make it difficult for her to correctly embody some roles "
