action

It's been ten years since Amy and Peter Edgar adopted their son. He comes from war-torn Eritrea and was seven years old when he was brought to the USA. Luce has grown into an all-star student, in more than athletic terms, loved by his Arlington community . His African American teacher, Harriet Wilson, believes he is a positive example to others. She is concerned, however, when Luce, who is also the leader of the debate team, makes alarming statements about political violence in an essay that he is supposed to write from the perspective of a historical figure of the 20th century. In Eritrea, Luce had learned how to handle guns before he could leave, and what was happening just wouldn't let go of him.
