Heinrich Ludwig Dietrich von Januschowski (born October 20, 1807 in Gardelegen , † December 16, 1883 in Stendal ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

origin

Ludwig was a son of the Prussian captain Georg von Januschowski (1764-1813) from his relationship with Dorothea Wallmann. He was in 1815 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. legitimized.

Military career

Januschowski visited the Berlin cadet house , was transferred to the 26th Infantry Regiment on April 8, 1825 as portepeefähnrich and was promoted to second lieutenant until mid-June 1826 . In 1837/40 he was a battalion adjutant and has since been promoted to prime lieutenant . On April 25, 1848 Januschowski became a captain and company commander . In 1849 he took part in the fighting at Karlsdorf, Ubstadt and Durlach during the suppression of the Baden Revolution

He was promoted to major on July 14, 1854, and was appointed battalion commander. This was followed by a job as commander of the III on January 20, 1859. Battalion in the 26th Landwehr Regiment in Neuhaldersleben. In this position Januschowski became lieutenant colonel on May 31, 1859 . He came to the 32nd Landwehr Regiment as a leader on March 13, 1860, on May 8, 1860, he became the leader of the 32nd Combined Landwehr Regiment, and on July 1, 1860, he came as a commander in the newly established 72nd Infantry Regiment . There he received the Schwarzburg First Class Cross of Honor on November 13, 1860 . He was promoted to colonel on October 18, 1861 . Under position à la suite , he was promoted to commander of the 5th Infantry Brigade on October 17, 1864, and to major general on June 18, 1865 . He led his brigade in 1866 during the war against Austria in the battles near Gitschin and Königgrätz . After the war he was awarded the on September 20th, 1866 Red Eagle Award II. Januschowski married Henriette Mathilde Rosalie Schubert (1816–1887) in Magdeburg on October 20, 1838, with whom he had two children.
