Ludwig von Wildenbruch

Ludwig von Wildenbruch (born April 8, 1846 in Beirut , † June 26, 1930 in Berlin ) was a Prussian officer , most recently a lieutenant general .

Life

He was the son of Louis von Wildenbruch (1803-1874) and his first wife Ernestine , born von Langen (1805-1858).

From the cadet corps coming stepped Wildenbruch on May 2, 1863 as a second lieutenant in the 2nd Guards Regiment walk the Prussian army one. As such, he took part in the German War in 1866 , was promoted to Prime Lieutenant on August 27, 1870 and fought against France in 1870/71 . Promoted to captain on February 6, 1873 , Wildenbruch subsequently acted as chief of the 10th Company and on April 18, 1882 joined the staff of the IV Army Inspectorate as an adjutant . From October 15, 1885 to February 14, 1887 he was commanded as a major to the embassy in Munich and then Wildenbruch was given service as commander of the 2nd battalion in the infantry regiment "Grand Duke Friedrich Franz II. Of Mecklenburg-Schwerin" (4th Brandenburg) No. 24 in Neuruppin . When he was promoted to lieutenant colonel on May 22, 1889, he was transferred as a regular staff officer to the infantry regiment "Prince Friedrich Karl von Prussia" (8th Brandenburg) No. 64 . As a colonel , he was in command of the Anhalt Infantry Regiment No. 93 stationed in Dessau from August 22, 1891 . In position à la suite of this regiment, Wildenbruch was given the command of the 9th Infantry Brigade on June 29, 1895, and was finally appointed commander on August 18, 1895 with the promotion to major general . On May 24, 1898, he was put at disposal with a pension and on June 15, 1898, Wildenbruch was given the character of Lieutenant General.

Wildenbruch was u. a. Holder of the Red Eagle Order II. Class with Oak Leaves and the Crown Order II. Class.
