Luis Lüps

Luis Lüps (* 1986 in Munich ) is a German actor .

Life

Luis Lüps, who grew up on Lake Ammersee in Upper Bavaria , attended the Free Waldorf School in Lübeck from 2005 until he graduated from high school in 2007 .

From 2008 to 2012 he completed his acting studies at the Berlin University of the Arts . During his studies he was already a guest at the Maxim Gorki Theater , a. a. as Tybalt in Nuran David Calis ' Romeo and Juliet production, at the Deutsches Theater Berlin and in the Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt . In 2011 he received the ensemble prize at the 22nd drama school meeting in Hamburg for his participation in the production Wir Schlafen nicht (director: Hermann Schmied-Rahmer). From 2012 to 2014 he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Junge Staatstheater Braunschweig for two seasons , where he worked with Mareike Mikat , Juliane Kann , Philippe Besson and Volker Schmidt , among others . He has been working as a freelance actor since 2014.

Since then he has had theater engagements at the Theater der Stadt Aalen (2014), at the Schwäbisch Hall open-air theater (2015), at the Altonaer Theater in Hamburg (2015), at the Theater an der Parkaue in Berlin (2015), at the Vorarlberger Landestheater (2016) , at the Heidelberg Theater (2017) and at the Drachengasse Theater in Vienna (2017). In July 2018 he appeared as a guest artist in the series “Young Choreographers 2018” at the Bavarian State Ballet . In the 2019/20 season he appeared at the Stadttheater Fürth in the title role of King Ubu by Alfred Jarry in a production by Jean Renshaw .

In addition, Lüps took part in some film and television productions. He is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS) and lives in Munich .
