Lukas Lauermann
Lukas Lauermann (born March 18, 1985 in Vienna ) is an Austrian cellist and composer .
Life
Lauermann studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and the Anton Bruckner Private University .
As a live and studio musician, he plays the cello, deals with electronic sound design and writes string arrangements . His field of activity also includes recordings and compositions for theater, radio drama and film music.
As a live musician, studio musician and arranger, he has worked with Donauwellenreiter, Alicia Edelweiss, A Life, A Song, A Cigarette , Alp Bora Quartett, Soap & Skin , Ping Ping, The Twentieth Century, Filament (FLMNT), Ritornell, Alex Miksch, Stephanie Hacker and Alfred Goubran worked. He was a live musician and arranger in projects with Mimu Merz , Krixi, Kraxi und die Kroxn , Eloui , Loretta Who and Mira Lu Kovacs ( Schmieds Puls ). As a studio musician he can be heard on productions with Andre Heller , Tocotronic , Wanda , Violetta Parisini , Mauracher , Marilies Jagsch , Raphael Sas, Der Nino from Vienna , Sleep Sleep, Gerard and Die Eternias.
He performed on stage with Mark Lanegan , Ken Stringfellow , Hans-Joachim Roedelius , Tim Story and Velojet, among others . He has also been touring with his solo project since autumn 2013. The concert activities have taken him, in addition to appearances in Austria (Porgy & Bess, Wiener Konzerthaus, Burgtheater, etc.), also to Germany (Philharmonie Köln, Konzerthaus Dortmund, etc.), France (Paris La Cigale, etc.), England (London Royal Festival Hall, etc.), Netherlands (Rotterdamse Schowburg), Belgium, Turkey, Singapore, Taiwan (National Concert Hall Taipei), China, Jordan (Amman Jazz Festival), Canada, Iran, Portugal, New York, etc. a.
As part of performance projects, he worked a. a. with the artist collectives Gelitin and Saint Genet , Salvatore Viviano and Bree Zucker.
