Lukas Sedlak (born September 9, 1999 in Meiningen ) is a German soccer goalkeeper who is under contract with FC Carl Zeiss Jena .

Career

Lukas Sedlak started his football career in his hometown Meiningen at VfL Meiningen 04 . In the youth field he switched to the youth performance center of FC Carl Zeiss Jena . There he was promoted to the Junior Bundesliga in the 2017/2018 season as part of the U19 team. Subsequently Sedlak was taken over in the club's second team, which competed in the Oberliga Nordost . In the following season 2018/2019 Sedlak was also in the squad of the third division team several times , but was not used.

At the beginning of the 2019/2020 season, his contract was extended. Also in this season, the goalkeeper was primarily used in the league and sat five times in the third division on the reserve bench. Sedlak made his first professional appearance on July 1, 2020 against SpVgg Unterhaching . At this point, the relegation of FC Carl Zeiss to the Regionalliga Nordost was already certain. The game ended in a draw. In the following game against relegated SG Sonnenhof Großaspach Sedlak was again in the Jenaer Tor for the entire season. The game ended with a 1-0 win for Jena.
