Niclas Fiedler (born March 7, 1998 in Gera ) is a German soccer player . The defender is under contract with FC Carl Zeiss Jena .
Career
After starting out in the youth team of Eurotrink Kickers, FV Bad Klosterlausnitz and FC Carl Zeiss Jena , he moved to the youth department of FC Schalke 04 in summer 2015 . After he hadn't made it to the 2nd team, he switched back to Thuringia to the 2nd team of FC Carl Zeiss Jena during the 2018 winter break . His next move to Halleschen FC took place in summer 2018 . There he came to his first professional usage in the 3. Liga when he on 28 July 2018 1 Gameday at the 0: 2 away defeat against FSV Zwickau after 77 minutes for Bentley Baxter Bahn came on .
After the third division season 2018/19 , which Halle finished fourth with Fiedler, the defender's contract was terminated and he returned to the top division team Jenas. For Jena II, the defender played twelve league games, eleven of them over the full season, until nationwide games were interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic in mid-March 2020. At the beginning of June 2020, Fiedler was appointed to the third division squad by head coach Kenny Verhoene as part of an internal restructuring measure together with five other top division players , which was able to participate in the league again.
