Lys Émilien Mousset (born February 8, 1996 in Montivilliers ) is a French football player who currently plays as a striker for Sheffield United in the Premier League .

Career

He joined the Le Havre AC Youth Academy in 2006 , prior to which he had played for local clubs Soquence Graville and Havre Caucriauville. He was able to score 14 goals in 57 games at Le Havre II before making his debut for the Le Havre first team. In 34 games he again scored 14 goals in Ligue 2 .

On June 30, 2016, Mousset moved from Le Havre to AFC Bournemouth for a transfer fee of € 7.3m. He scored his first goal for Bournemouth on January 6, 2018 in an FA Cup duel against Wigan Athletic .

At the beginning of the 2018/19 season he moved to the Premier League promoted Sheffield United , where he signed a three-year contract. With an estimated fee of over € 11 million, it became the new record transfer for the blades .

National team

Mousset was born in France to a Senegalese father and a French mother and is eligible to play in both countries. He made his debut for the France U20 team in 2015.
