Benjamin Jarrod "Ben" Osborn (born August 5, 1994 in Derby ) is an English football player . The midfielder comes from the Nottingham Forests youth academy and has played over 200 competitive appearances for them. After 16 years, he moved to Premier League promoted Sheffield United for the 2019/20 season .

Career

Nottingham Forest

Coming from his own youth academy, Ben Osborn made his debut on March 29, 2014 for English second division Nottingham Forest in a 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town . His first goal came on January 17, 2015 in a 2-1 away win at East Midlands rivals Derby County , when he scored the winning goal for Forest in stoppage time.

On February 16, 2016, Osborn was voted Football League 's Young Player of the Month for January .

Sheffield United

After 16 years at Nottingham Forest, Osborn's move to Premier League promoted Sheffield United was announced on July 26, 2019 . He signed a three-year contract with the Blades .
