Muhamed Bešić (born September 10, 1992 in Berlin , Germany ) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian football player . He is under contract with Everton and is used as a center- back , right full-back or defensive midfielder . He is currently on loan to Sheffield United .
Life
Muhamed Bešić was born in Berlin to an immigrant family from Bosnia-Herzegovina .
Club career
youth
Bešić played in his youth at the SpVgg Tiergarten and the Reinickendorfer Füchsen before he switched to Tennis Borussia Berlin in the B-youth . There he was noticed by the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Football Association and, due to his appointment to the U19 national team, also to Hamburger SV , to which he moved to the U-19 (A youth) in July 2009.
Hamburger SV
At Hamburger SV , Bešić received a professional contract for the 2010/11 season, which he extended on November 4, 2010 to June 30, 2013.
Due to many injuries in the professional squad, Bešić made his debut on matchday 12 of the 2010/11 season in the defeat against Borussia Dortmund when he was substituted on for Guy Demel in the 80th minute . His starting eleven debut followed on matchday: he replaced the injured Joris Mathijsen in the 3-2 away defeat against Hannover 96 over the entire season in central defense. In the following second half of the season Bešić was no longer considered for the professional squad and played exclusively in the second team. Bešić also completed the game in the second team under coach Michael Oenning . Initially, this did not change under the new coach Thorsten Fink . As a result, Bešić no longer took part in the professional training. It wasn't until February 2012 that Fink Bešić took part in training again to get an idea of the player. At the end of March he was transferred to the U23 together with Romeo Castelen . The first reason given was that Fink wanted to reduce the training squad in the relegation battle in order to be able to work more concentrated. A few days later it became known that Fink had grabbed Bešić by the collar and threw it out of the cabin. The reason for this was that Bešić had not followed the instructions of fitness trainer Markus Günther and presented himself listless.
In April 2012 he completed a trial training at the second division club SG Dynamo Dresden . However, there was no engagement, so Bešić went with the HSV professional team in preparation for the 2012/13 season . There he came back to play in friendly matches.
Ferencváros Budapest
Towards the end of the transfer period, Bešić completed a trial session with the Hungarian first division club Ferencváros Budapest . He was signed on August 31, 2012.
Time in England
For the 2014/15 season , Bešić moved to the Premier League for Everton FC . He signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2019.
In January 2018, Bešić joined the English second division club Middlesbrough on loan for the rest of the season . After the center- back returned to Everton at the beginning of the 2018/19 season , he was loaned out to Middlesbrough again in August 2018. The loan period runs until the end of the season.
National team
Bešić was nominated for the first time for an A international match of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian national team . The match took place on November 17, 2010 against Slovakia . In this game he also made his debut when he came on in the 79th minute for Ognjen Vranješ . Bosnia-Herzegovina won this game 3-2.
Bešić was part of the Bosnian squad at the 2014 World Cup . He completed all three group games over the full playing time.
