TTC Langweid is an association of the German women's table tennis league from Langweid am Lech . Since returning to the top German league in 1992, the team has won numerous titles, including the German championship eight times, the European Champion's Cup three times and the ETTU Cup three times.

history

Before the table tennis division was spun off in 2002, the club was known as FC Langweid .

This FC Langweid was founded in 1930 as a pure football club, which developed into a popular sports club with other sports in the 1960s. The table tennis department was established in 1968 and Gert Jungbauer was the department head (until 2016). The greatest success of the men was reaching the 2nd Bundesliga. The women made it to the 2nd and 1988 to the 1st Bundesliga. After two years of relegation, the team returned to the 1st Bundesliga in 1992/93. The women's area was shaped by the Hungarian Csilla Bátorfi , who joined the club in 1992 and worked as a player-coach until she left in 2007.

In 1993 the association was rewarded for its committed youth work by the Dresdner Bank with the Green Belt and financial support of DM 10,000. The Korean world-class player An Hae Sook was responsible for the youth work .

From 2002 until the 2005/06 season, the main sponsor at the time, Müllermilch, gave the club its name. Due to the lack of a new main sponsor, the club withdrew its women's team to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the 2006/07 season, but was able to bring the German championship to Langweid again with a win in the last first division game and at the same time the lead in the eternal Take over Bundesliga table. At the end of the 2011/2012 season, the club withdrew the women's team to the regional league. In 2013 he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga South.
