Madonna and Child in Tresses

The sculpture Madonna and Child in the church of St-Pierre in Tresses , a French commune in the Gironde department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was created around 1400. In 1952, the Gothic sculpture was added to the list of listed objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The limestone sculpture is one meter high and was originally painted in color . Mary carries the baby Jesus in her right arm and the child holds a dove in her hands.
