Maika Joseph
Maika Joseph (born March 26, 1915 in Berlin ; † March 31, 1971 there ) was a German actress and cabaret artist .
Life
Maika Joseph made her debut in 1931 with the agitprop troupe Das Rote Sprachrohr , under the direction of Maxim Vallentin . After the Second World War , she made her first appearances in the political cabaret Der Besen in the casino light games on Berlin's Brunnenstrasse . She then visited the German Theater Institute Weimar at Belvedere Palace with its own theater group, Das Junge Ensemble, where, again under the direction of Maxim Vallentin, she had several appearances. Most of this ensemble went to Berlin with Maxim Vallentin in 1952 to found the Maxim-Gorki-Theater .
Maika Josoph, who was also a sought-after film and television actress, died in 1971 after a long illness at the age of 56.
