Majerka is a settlement in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the rural municipality of Kruklanki (Kruglanken) in the Giżycki powiat ( Lötzen district ).

geography

Majerka is located north of Lake Lenkuk ( Jezioro Łękuk in Polish ) in the north-east of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . It is 25 kilometers to the southwest to the district town of Giżycko (Lötzen) .

history

The small settlement (Polish osada) is located on the eastern border of the Gmina Kruklanki. It is not evident that the place had a German past, let alone a German place name. It is probably the northern, somewhat remote part of the former village of Rhog , which - belonging to the Lötzen district - was renamed Klein Lenkuk in 1938 and has been called " Róg Orłowski " since 1945 .

religion

Ecclesiastically Majerka today in the Catholic parish Orłowo (Orlowen , 1938-1945 Adlersdorf) in the Diocese of Elk and in the Protestant church Wydminy (Widminnen) in the Diocese Mazury incorporated.

traffic

Majerka can only be reached via land routes that lead from Orłowo , Wolisko (Walisko , 1938 to 1945 Waldsee) and Róg Orłowski (Rhog , 1938 to 1945 Klein Lenkuk) to here.
