Majerka is a settlement in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the rural municipality of Kruklanki (Kruglanken) in the Giżycki powiat ( Lötzen district ).
geography
Majerka is located north of Lake Lenkuk ( Jezioro Łękuk in Polish ) in the north-east of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . It is 25 kilometers to the southwest to the district town of Giżycko (Lötzen) .
history
The small settlement (Polish osada) is located on the eastern border of the Gmina Kruklanki. It is not evident that the place had a German past, let alone a German place name. It is probably the northern, somewhat remote part of the former village of Rhog , which - belonging to the Lötzen district - was renamed Klein Lenkuk in 1938 and has been called " Róg Orłowski " since 1945 .
