Jurkówko ( German Hagenhorst , Forst ) is a small settlement in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the rural community of Kruklanki (Kruglanken) in the Giżycki powiat ( Lötzen district ).
Geographical location
The forest settlement ( Polish osada leśna ) Jurkówko is located in the southern Borkener Forest (also: Borker Heide, Polish Puszcza Borecka) in the north-east of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . The former district town of Angerburg (Polish: Węgorzewo) is 25 kilometers to the northwest, while today's district metropolis Giżycko (Lötzen) is 21 kilometers to the southwest.
history
1865 was the forester founded Hagen Horst and formed a dwelling place in the rural community Jorkowen (1938-1945 Jorken, Polish Jurkowo) in the district Angerburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1905 the forester's house settlement had 6 residents.
As a result of the war, Hagenhorst came to Poland in 1945 with all of southern East Prussia and was given the Polish place name "Jurkówko". Today it is part of the rural community of Kruklanki (Kruglanken) in the Giżycki powiat ( Lötzen district ), before 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it has belonged to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .
Religions
Until 1945 Hagenhorst was parish in the Protestant Church Orlowen (1938-1945 Adlersdorf, Polish Orłowo ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of St. Bruno in Lötzen (Polish Giżycko) in the Diocese of Warmia .
Today Jurkówko is oriented towards the Catholic parish Orłowo in the Diocese of Ełk (Lyck) in the Roman Catholic Church in Poland or belongs to the Protestant parish in Wydminy (Widminnen) , a subsidiary of the parish Giżycko in the Diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .

Jurkówko is located in the middle of the forest and can only be reached by land from Jurkowo (Jorkowen , 1938 to 1945 Jorken) . There is no rail link.
