Mao (Ngawa)
Mao County ( Chinese 茂县 , Pinyin Mào Xiàn ) is located in the administrative area of the Ngawa Autonomous District of the Tibetans and Qiang in the north of the Chinese province of Sichuan , People's Republic of China . Its main town is the large community Fengyi (凤仪 镇), the name of the district from the mountain Maowen Shan ( Chinese 茂 湿 山 ).
In 1999 it had 101,137 inhabitants.
On the morning of June 24, 2017, the village of Xinmo was buried by rock masses after a landslide , 73 people died.
The Neolithic sites of Yingpanshan and Jianghabeng ( Yingpan shan he Jiangwei cheng yizhi营盘 山 和 姜维 城 遗址) of the Yingpanshan culture (营盘 山 文化) have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-177) since 2006 .

- Huilong Township (回 龙乡)
- Sanlong Municipality (三 龙乡)
- Baixi Municipality (白 溪乡)
- Wadi Municipality (洼 底 乡)
- Shidaguan Township (石 大关 乡)
- Songpinggou Township (松坪 沟乡)
