The Quicksand Duo is a male singing duo in the field of German Schlager (folk hits). It consists of Andreas Ratzka (pseudonym Marc Alpina) (born August 13, 1965 in Erlenbach ) and Rüdiger Krampitz (born August 31, 1961 in Buchholz ),

Career

Krampitz and Ratzka met while on vacation and decided to record the title When the North Awakens together. Live appearances on radio and television followed.

Within two years, the duo became the most successful male duo of popular pop music. Heaven likes you (1996) was in the top 20 for six months , according to the broadcasting coverage of Media Control . Titles such as With You That Is Always Beautiful , Blue Sea and Red Wine or Dreams in Wrapping Paper followed.

In the first 15 years, the duo appeared on TV shows over 400 times and at more than 2,200 concerts at home and abroad.

Ratzka writes all titles under the pseudonym Marc Alpina and has also worked for Maria and Margot Hellwig , Takeo Ischi , Jacob Sisters , Ulla Norden , Bata Illic , Géraldine Olivier , Edina Pop , Ilse Werner , Lys Assia , Heino , LiBelle, Michaela Christ , Sandra Mon, Black Forest family Seitz , Peter Lorenz , Steffi & Bert, Bert Beel , Christian Steffen, Duo California, Sandra Weiss, Ricky King , Lydia Huber , Die Zwillinge, Fred Bertelmann , Heinz Schenk .

Ratzka and his business partner Andreas Wöber own the record company Rubin Records.
