Marcelo Raúl Martorell (born March 1, 1945 in Salta ) is an Argentine clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Puerto Iguazú .

Life

Juan Rubén Martinez was ordained a priest on June 29, 1970 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on October 3, 2006 Bishop of Puerto Iguazú. The Apostolic Nuncio in Argentina, Adriano Bernardini , donated his episcopal ordination on December 8th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Domingo Salvador Castagna , Archbishop of Corrientes , Emilio Ogñénovich , Archbishop Emeritus of Mercedes-Luján , Roberto Rodríguez , Bishop of La Rioja , and Fabriciano Sigampa , Archbishop of Resistencia .

On May 8, 2020, Pope Francis accepted Marcelo Raúl Martorell's resignation due to reasons of age.
