Marco Meyerhöfer (born November 18, 1995 in Bad Homburg ) is a German soccer player . The right-back has been under contract with SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the 2nd Bundesliga since the 2019/20 season .

Career

Meyerhöfer was trained in the junior teams at Eintracht Frankfurt before he moved to the 1st team of 1. FC Saarbrücken in the Regionalliga-Südwest for the 2014/2015 season. After having been under contract in Saarland for three years, Meyerhöfer signed a two-year contract with league competitor SV Waldhof Mannheim in 2017 . With the Waldhöfern, Meyerhöfer narrowly missed promotion to the 3rd football league in the 2017/2018 season in the relegation against KFC Uerdingen 05 . A year later, however, he celebrated the championship of the Regionalliga-Südwest and direct promotion to the 3rd division with SV Waldhof Mannheim. Meyerhöfer did not extend his contract in Mannheim, which expired in mid-2019, he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for SpVgg Greuther Fürth , which signed him until 2022.
