Sebastian Ernst (born March 4, 1995 in Neustadt am Rübenberge ) is a German football player .
Career
In his youth, Ernst played for TSV Poggenhagen in his birthplace Neustadt am Rübenberge . At the age of eleven he moved to the junior division at Hannover 96 , where he received professional training.
From 2013 Ernst played for the second team of Hannover 96 in the Regionalliga Nord .
For the 2014/15 Bundesliga season , Ernst nominally made the leap into the first team of Hannover 96. However, he continued to play in the second team and did not play a league game for the Bundesliga team. Ernst played his only competitive game for the Hannover 96 professional team on October 28, 2014 in the DFB Cup against VfR Aalen , when he came on for Jimmy Briand ten minutes before the end . Hannover 96 lost the game with 0-2. In March 2015, Ernst tore the syndesmosis in his left leg and was therefore out for the rest of the season.
In the Regionalliga Nord Ernst came to a total of 71 missions for the second representation of the Hanoverians; he scored 19 goals.
During the winter break of the 2015/16 season , Ernst moved to 1. FC Magdeburg in the 3rd division . He made his competitive debut on January 24th in the Sachsen-Anhalt derby against Halleschen FC . Ernst scored both goals for 1. FC Magdeburg in this game for a 2-1 victory. In total, he came in his first season with 1. FCM on 18 appearances in the third division, in which he scored three goals.
In the first half of the 2016/17 season only ran eleven times for Magdeburg, where he was able to score another goal. For the second half of the season he left the club and joined the Würzburger Kickers in the 2nd Bundesliga . He played his first game for the new club on February 3, 2017 against 1. FC Kaiserslautern . After the Würzburger Kickers were relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga, Ernst moved to SpVgg Greuther Fürth .
