Career

Marcus Paulsson began his career as an ice hockey player at Mörrums GoIS , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Allsvenskan , the second Swedish division, in the 2001/02 season . He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2002 in the fifth round as a total of 149 players by the New York Islanders , for which he never played. Instead, the winger initially ran from 2002 to 2004 for the Saskatoon Blades in the Canadian Junior Western Hockey League . In the 2004/05 season he played in the Allsvenskan for the Malmö Redhawks . At the same time he was on the ice as a loan player for their league rivals Halmstad Hammers and Mörrums GoIS.

The 2005/06 season Paulsson spent in the Finnish SM-liiga , in which he ran up first for the Pelicans Lahti and then TPS Turku . For the 2006/07 season , the Swede returned to the Malmö Redhawks, with whom he was relegated to the second Swedish division. There he stayed for another two years before he was committed in January 2009 by Elitserien participant Färjestad BK , with whom he was first Swedish champion at the end of the 2008/09 season . He was able to repeat this success with his team in the 2010/11 season .

In April 2013 Paulsson was from HC Davos from the National League A contracted. In the 2013/14 season he was the NLA's top scorer and won the championship title with the HCD in 2015. After the end of the 2015/16 season, he moved back to his home country and signed a contract with Karlskrona HK from Svenska Hockeyligan .
