Margie Kinsky (born April 21, 1958 in Rome ; actually Maria Grazia Alice Eleonora Kinsky-Mockridge) is an Italian actress and cabaret artist living in Germany .

Life

Margie Kinsky was born in Rome as the daughter of Genilde Kinsky (Genilda Kinská) from the former Bohemian family Kinsky and the Italian father Filippo Dozzi. Margie Kinsky is related to the former Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg through her mother, who was born in Czechoslovakia in 1925 . In Rome she attended a German school . After graduating from high school in 1979, she moved to Germany and studied Romance languages at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn . In 1983 she married actor and director Bill Mockridge . Both have six sons together, all of whom have dual citizenship (Italian and Canadian).

All of the couple's sons follow their parents' example and work as a film and television director (Nick Mockridge), entrepreneur and coach ( Matthew "Matt" Mockridge , formerly with the boy group Part Six ), comedian ( Luke Mockridge ), musician (Leonardo "Lenny “Mockridge) and the actors Jeremy Mockridge and Liam Mockridge . The family lived in the Bonn district of Endenich ; now only Margie and Bill live there.

Career

During his studies, Kinsky played theater in an ensemble called "Compagnia 82". In addition to her work as an extra at the Bonn Opera, she built the improvisational theater group Springmaus together with Bill Mockridge . Kinsky and her teammates made their first appearances in the “Anno Tubac” theater bar in Bonn; in the meantime they play in their own house of the jerboa . Since it was founded in 1983, Kinsky has been part of one of several ensembles there, currently the "Gala Ensemble". With changing partners (among others at the side of Georg Roth) she appeared as part of the Jumping Mouse duo.

In the ARD series Lindenstrasse , Margie Kinsky played the role of Gina Varese, the ex-wife of Paolo, a waiter and later owner of Café Moorse. In addition to her husband Bill in the role of Erich Schiller, her second youngest son Jeremy also played as Nico Zenker in the Lindenstrasse ensemble from 2007 to 2010 .

After a few pre-premieres, Kinsky presented her first solo cabaret program on March 17, 2010 in Bonn's "House of Springmaus", entitled Kinsky goes on! . In the fall of 2014, Kinsky's second stage solo followed, I'm so wild for your strawberry pudding! .
